The Bangalore Palace history dates back to 1873 whenthe land for Bangalore Palace in Bangalore was bought for 40,000 Rupees by the British guardians of Maharaja Chamarajendra Wadiyar X. The construction began in 1874 and was completed by 1878. Built under the commission of the Royal Wadiyar Family, Bangalore Palace was treated as a summer retreat house by the royal Wadiyar family.
