  • Once a quiet Buddhist retreat, Gangtok has transformed into a cultural & administrative hub nestled at 5,410 feet. It once served as an important trade stop between Lhasa and India.
  • In the evening, relax with a walk along MG Marg, Gangtok’s busy promenade lined with colonial-era buildings, cafes, & local shops. Savor authentic Sikkimese cuisine and shop for local handicrafts.

  • Next, visit Enchey Monastery, over 200 years old, blessed by Lama Druptob Karpo. Known for its sacred energy, it has deep royal connections and hosts the famous Chaam mask dances during festivals.
