Andhra Pradesh is all set to be more travel-friendly. The much-awaited Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport in Bhogapuram, near Visakhapatnam, is set to be inaugurated on August 1, 2026, marking a major milestone for India’s aviation infrastructure.

The airport is anticipated to strengthen international and domestic connectivity, as well as promote tourism, business travel, and economic growth in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

The new airport will become the major international gateway for North Andhra and will supplement, and eventually take over, commercial operations at Visakhapatnam Airport.
