Terminal shift for select Air India and all Air India Express domestic flights at Delhi Airport

There is an important terminal shift for select Air India domestic flights and all Air India Express domestic flights at Delhi Airport, effective 26th October 2025.

All Air India domestic flights with flight numbers starting with the AI1XXX series will operate from Terminal 2 (T2).

All Air India Express flights will move from T3 to T1.

All other Air India flights, including international flights and domestic flights not in the AI1XXX series, will continue to operate from Terminal 3 (T3).

We would also like to inform you about the terminal transfer procedures for through checked-in passengers:

DOMESTIC – DOMESTIC TRANSFERS

T3 ➔ T1

Proceed to the Bus Lounge at Arrival Hall Forecourt, collect a shuttle pass, and use the inter-terminal shuttle to reach the connecting terminal for boarding.

T3 ➔ T2

Terminals are within walking distance; buggy service is available for those requiring assistance.

DOMESTIC – INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

T3 ➔ T1/T2

Collect checked baggage after Immigration, clear Customs, and deposit at the I–D Transfer Area.

To T1

Use the shuttle to reach the boarding terminal.

To T2

Walk directly; buggy service provided if required.

Note: All through-checked baggage will be securely transported by the airline.

Check-in Timings

Air India Domestic (Terminal 2)

Counters open 2.5 hours before departure

Air India International (Terminal 3)

Counters open 4 hours before departure

Air India Express (Terminal 1)

Counters open 3 hours before departure
